About Will
Will Maluk has been growing cannabis for eleven years, starting with a few plants in a fenced backyard in southern Oregon before the state had a recreational market. The first couple of seasons taught him more about powdery mildew and September rain than about genetics — a Blue Dream he had babied all summer collapsed to bud rot a week before harvest, and that loss is what pushed him indoors.
These days he flowers in a single 4×4 tent under a quantum-board LED and keeps two 3×3 tents going for vegging and mothers. Most of his runs are in coco coir on a hand-fed schedule, though he still keeps one living-soil bed for the strains that seem to come out better in it. Northern Lights, Gorilla Glue #4, and Wedding Cake have been in steady rotation for years; the autoflower corner of the tent changes constantly, because that is the side of the hobby he cares about most.
Autoflowers are where most of his attention goes now — sorting out which crosses actually finish in 70 days versus the ones that quietly need 90, and what a light leak or a rough transplant really costs you on a plant that cannot be revegged. He logs every run: germination rate, days to flip, stretch, final dry weight, and what he would change next time. Those notebooks are what he checks a strain description against before it goes live.
At The Seeds Depot his job is accuracy. When a listing claims a 55-day flower or a 600 g/m² yield, he asks whether real growers are reporting that or whether it is breeder marketing, and corrects the page before it publishes.
